I have spent more than ten years studying the gold market and building and testing trading tools for MetaTrader 5: indicators, expert advisors, backtests and forward tests. I have worked as a data analyst since 2010.
The main thing those years taught me: most trading ideas, my own included, do not survive an honest test on data they were not tuned on. XAU Meter applies the same rule to everything gold traders are promised - forecasts, spreads, "best hours to trade".
I publish no forecasts of my own and sell no signals. XAU Meter has no affiliate links. I use a pen name to keep this project separate from my other work.
What I am responsible for
- The method behind every number on the site: how we measure.
- The archive of other people's gold forecasts and their scoring: gold price forecasts, bank forecasts.
- The broker price feeds and the spread measurement: gold spread by broker and session.
